Where is the "Christ" in "Christianity ? "

Does Christianity followed
the teachings of Jesus
and the early apostles?

Religious scholars have long attributed the principles of the Christian faith on Paul's teachings as Jesus . But all I want to jump on this, I think it is best to back up and take a quick look speculative Old Testament .

The Old Testament teaches that Jacob wrestled with God . In fact , the Old Testament relates that Jacob wrestled not only with God, but Jacob prevailed (Genesis 32:24-30 ) . Now keep in mind that we are talking about a small blob of protoplasm fighting Creator of a universe 240,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles in diameter, containing more than a billion galaxies , including our own - the Milky Way is just one (and small, to whom) , and in effect ? Sorry, but someone had a few short pages of a codex when they described this passage. The point is, however, that this passage leaves us in a dilemma.

We have to question whether the Jewish concept of God or accept the explanation that "God" does not mean "God" in the above verses, but this means an angel or a man (which, in essence, means that the Old Testament it is legit ) . In fact, this textual difficulty has become so problematic that the most recent bibles tried to hush up the case by changing the definition of "God" for " man." What they cannot change, however , is the basic script that translates the Jewish Bible , and this continues to read " God. "

The lack of reliability is a recurring problem in the Old Testament , the most important confusion between God and the example of Satan ! II Samuel 24:1 reads:
" Again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and moved David against them to say ," Go, number Israel and Judah. "
However, I Chronicles 21:01 says, "Now Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel . "
Uh , that was it ? The Lord or Satan? The two verses describe the same event in history, but we are talking about God and the other of Satan. There is a slight difference ( as total).
Christians would like to believe that the New Testament is free of these problems, but they are wrong . In fact, there are so many contradictions that the authors have written books on the subject. For example, Matthew 2:39 Luke 2:14 ET differ as to whether Jesus' family fled to Egypt or Nazareth. Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4 differ in the wording of the "Lord's Prayer " . Matthew 11:13-14 , 17:11-13 and John 1:21 disagreement about whether John the Baptist was Elijah.

Things get worse when we enter the realm of the alleged crucifixion : Who carried the cross -Simon ( cf. Luke 23:26 , Matthew 27:32 , Mark 15:21 ) or Jesus ( John 19:17 ) ? Jesus was dressed in a scarlet robe (Matthew 27:28 ) , or a purple robe (John 19:02 ) ? Roman soldiers put gall (Matthew 27:34 ) or myrrh ( Mark 15:23 ) in wine ? Jesus was crucified before the third hour ( Mark 15:25 ) or after the sixth hour (John 19:14-15 ) ? Did Jesus resurrected on the first day ( Luke 23:43 ) or not ( John 20:17 ) ? The last words , "Father , Jesus , into thy hands I commend my spirit" ( Luke 23:46 ) were, or were " It is finished" ( John 19:30 ) ?
These are just some of a long list of biblical inconsistencies, and underscore the difficulty of trust in the New Testament as Scripture. However, there are those who trust their salvation in the New Testament , and it is these Christians who need to answer the question: " Where is the" Christ " in" Christianity ? "

It is , in fact , is a very fair question. On the one hand we have a religion the name of Jesus Christ , but the principles of orthodox Christianity , namely the Trinitarian Christianity contradicts virtually everything he taught.
I know, I know, those of you who are not screaming " Heretic" are gathering wood and planting a game. But wait . Remove the high-powered rifle and listen. Trinitarian Christianity claims to base their doctrine on a combination of the teachings of Jesus and Paul. The problem is that these teachings are anything but complementary. In fact, contradict each other .

A few examples:
Jesus taught the law of the Old Testament, Paul denied. Jesus preached the Orthodox Jewish faith, Paul preached mysteries of faith. Jesus spoke of responsibility, Paul proposed justification by faith. Jesus described himself as an ethnic prophet. Paul defines it as a universal prophet [1] Jesus taught prayer to God , Paul defines Jesus as intercessor. Jesus taught the divine unity , Pauline theologians constructed the Trinity.

For these reasons, many scholars consider Paul the main corrupter of Apostolic Christianity and the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian sects are of this opinion , as well as the second Christian sects known " Adoptionists " Century - "In particular, Paul felt , one of the most important writers of our New Testament , as a heretic more than an apostle." [Ehrman, Bart D. The New Testament: A Historical Introduction to the Early Christian Writings. 2004. Oxford University Press. P. 3.] Christ

Lehmann contributes :
" What Paul proclaimed that" Christianity " was pure heresy cannot be based on faith or the Jewish Essenes , or the teachings of Rabbi Jesus. Schonfield But as said , " Heresy Pauline became the foundation of Christian orthodoxy and legitimate church was disowned as heretical . " ... Paul did something that Rabbi Jesus never did and refused to do. He held the promise of salvation to the Gentiles. He has abolished the law of Moses , and direct access to God was prevented by the introduction of a intermediary " [Lehmann, Johannes. 1972. The Jesus Report. Translated by Michael Heron. London: Souvenir Press. pp. 128, 134.]

Bart D. Ehrman , perhaps the most authoritative textual criticism , says university life :
"In Paul's view was not universally accepted or possibly even widely accepted .... Even more surprisingly, Paul's letters indicate that there were clean frank, sincere and active Christian leaders vehemently disagreed with him on this point and considered the views of Paul to be a corruption of the true message of Christ .... we must always bear in mind that in the same letter Galatians Paul confronted Peter indicates that only in these subjects ( Galatians 2:11-14 ) . was not well , that is, even with the closest disciple of Jesus in the matter. " [Ehrman, Bart D. 2003. Lost Christianities. Oxford University Press. Pp. 97-98.]
Christianity

Commenting on the views of some of the early Christians in the pseudo - Clementine literature, Ehrman wrote:
" Paul has corrupted the true faith based on a glimpse , probably misunderstood. Paul is the enemy of the apostles, not the main one . 's Out of true faith , a heretic to be banned, I am not an apostle to follow. " [Ehrman, Bart D. 2003. Lost Christianities. Oxford University Press. P. 184.]
Another Paul ascended to holiness. Joel Carmichael is clearly not one of them :
"We are light years away from Jesus If Jesus came . " Only to fulfill "the Law and the Prophets ; If he thought " one jot or tittle " would " pass from the law , " the cardinal commandment was " Hear, O Israel Lord our God, the Lord is one "and that " no one is good but God " .... What would have thought of the work of Pablo Pablo triumph meant the final destruction of the historical Jesus ! . comes embalmed Christianity like a fly in amber " [Carmichael, Joel, M.A. 1962. The Death of Jesus. New York: The Macmillan Company. p. 270.]
Christianity

Dr. Johannes Weiss contributes :
"Faith in Christ as held by the primitive churches and by Paul was something new compared to the preaching of Jesus . It was a new kind of religion " [Weiss, Johannes. 1909. Paul and Jesus. (Translated by Rev. H. J. Chaytor). London and New York: Harper and Brothers. p. 130.]

A new kind of religion , actually. So the question : " Where is the" Christ " in" Christianity ? " If Christianity is the religion of Jesus Christ, where the laws of the Old Testament and the strict monotheism of Orthodox Judaism Rabbi Jesus is and why Christianity teaches that Jesus is the Son of God , Jesus himself called the" son of man " eighty-eight times, and not once did the "son of God? "Why do not endorse Christianity confession to priests and prayers to saints , Mary and Jesus when Jesus taught his disciples :
" In this manner, therefore, pray : " Our Father ... " (Matthew 6:09 ) ?
And he appointed a Pope? Certainly not Jesus. True, it may be called Peter the rock on which He would build His church (Matthew 16:18-19). However, a rare five verses later called Peter "Satan" and " a crime. " And do not forget that this " rock " denied Jesus three times before his arrest poor testament to the commitment of Jesus to Peter for new church.
Christianity

Is it possible that Christians were denying Jesus ? Transform strict monotheism to the Pauline theologians of Jesus Trinidad , replacing the Rabbi Jesus Old Testament law with Paul , " justification by faith " , which replaces the concept of Jesus having atoned for the sins of the humanity of Jesus , responsibility directly given by the rejection of the demand of Jesus to humanity with the concept of Paul Jesus was divine , we must ask exactly how Christianity respects the teachings of their prophet. Christianity

A parallel issue is defining religion respects the teachings of Jesus. Let's see : What religion honors Jesus as a prophet , but a man ? That adheres to strict monotheism religion , the laws of God , and the concept of the direct responsibility of God? Whoever denies religion intermediaries between man and God?
If your answer is , "Islam" , you're right . And so , we find the teachings of Jesus Christ better illustrated in the religion of Islam than Christianity . This suggestion , however , not intended to be a conclusion , but rather an introduction . Those who find their interest peaked in the above discussion should take the matter seriously , open their minds and then ... Read on!

Footnotes:
[1] Jesus was a prophet in a long line of prophets sent to the Israelites astray. As stated clearly: " I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel . " (Matthew 15:24) When Jesus sent the disciples in the way of God , he asked them, "Do not enter in the way of the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans . , but go rather to the lost sheep of Israel . " (Matthew 10:5-6 ) throughout his ministry, Jesus was never registered as having become a pagan , and in fact, he is remembered for having initially rebuked a Gentile to order your favors, comparing it to a dog (Matthew 15:22-28 and Mark 7:25-30 ) . Jesus himself was a Jew , his disciples were Jews, and he and his department asked for the Jews. One wonders what it means for us today, for most of them that took Jesus as their personal Savior " are fine, not the " lost sheep of the house of Israel "to whom it was sent.
