An examination of the idea
that Jesus is the Son of God
from Christian sources
A look at the original Greek
and Hebrew words translated to "son."

Christian clergy openly acknowledge that Jesus never called himself Expired "son of God " , however , did say that to others . This also has an answer.
The investigation of the manuscripts that make up the New Testament, we find that the " sons" Assumption of Jesus is based on the mistranslation of two Greek words - . " Sound " country and huios both , all of which translates as No however , this translation appears false. The Greeks country of words derived from the Hebrew ebed , all leading the slave gold primary meaning of servant . Therefore, the primary translation theou country is " servant of God " with the "child" or "son of God" as an extravagant embellishment.

According to the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament , " The original Hebrew theou country country in the sentence, ie ebed , cavities a strain on personal relationships and has his first sense of ' slave ' ." [Kittel, Gerhard and Gerhard Friedrich. p. 763] This is all the more interesting because it fits perfectly with the prophecy of Isaiah 42:1 , Matthew 24:18 enshrined in : "Behold my servant [ie , from the Greek country ] whom I have chosen , my beloved , in whom my soul delights ... " If a person reads the Bible King James Version, New King James Version , New Revised Standard Version or the New International Version , the word is" used " in all cases . Given that the purpose of the disclosure is to make clear the truth of God , one would think that this transition year unsightly on the face of the doctrine of divine sonship moles .

After all , what better place for God Jesus - have declared their sound? What better place to have said : "Behold , my son, I have begotten ... "? But He did not say that. Moreover , the doctrine lacks biblical support Recorded in the words of Jesus and God, and there is good reason to wonder why . Unless , that is , that Jesus was merely the servant of God thus described .

As for the religious use of the word ebed , " The term reserves as an expression of humility used by the righteous before God." [Kittel, Gerhard and Gerhard Friedrich. p. 763] Furthermore, " After 100 BC country theou more often means" servant of God "as when applied to Moses and the prophets , or three children ( Bar 1:20 , 2:20 , Dan 9 : 35) " . [Kittel, Gerhard and Gerhard Friedrich. p. 765] A person can easily get on the doctrinal quicksand . " Of the eight cases of this phrase refers one to Israel (Luke 1:54 ), two refer to David (Luke 1:69 , Acts 04: 25) , and the other five to Jesus ( Matthew 24:18 , Acts 3:13, 26 , 4:27 , 30) .... In the few cases where Everything is named Jesus theou Obviously we Expired country - have early tradition. " [Kittel, Gerhard and Gerhard Friedrich. p. 767]

So Jesus did not have exclusive rights to this term , and where he used the term " course " is derived from " principles of tradition ." In addition , the translation , if candid , should identify all individuals that the judgment was applied in a similar manner. This is , however , not the case beens . Whereas the country has - translated " servant " in reference to David ( Acts 4:25 and Luke 1:69 ) and Israel (Luke 1:54 ) , which translates as "Your" or " holy child " in reference to Jesus ( Acts 3 : 13, 3:26 , 4:27 , 4:30 ) . This preferential treatment is canonically consistent , objective , logically flawed .

Finally an interesting , if not essential , in religious parallel is uncovered : " ASI COUNTRY Greek words tou theou ' servant of God ' has exactly the same connotation as the Muslim name Abdullah - the" servant of Allah " [Carmichael, Joel. pp. 255-6]
Symmetry is all the more surprising by the Quran as Jesus relates HAVING was identified only as this -Abdallah ( abd Being Arab means slave or servant , Abd -Allah [ also spelled " Abdullah " ] means slave or servant of Allah) . According to the story , when Mary returned to her family with baby Jesus , they accused her of being unchaste . Speaking from the cradle in a miracle that gave credibility to his claim the Child Jesus Defended virtue of his mother with the words, " Inni Abdullah ... " which means clustering, "Behold , I am a servant of Allah ... " ( Qur'an 19:30)

Translation of the Greek New Testament huios for " Sound" ( in the literal sense of the word ) is similarly flawed . 1210 Kittel and Friedrich 's Theological Dictionary of the New Testament , the meaning of huios travel from the literal (Jesus the son of Mary ) , one page slightly metaphorical (believers as children of the King [ Mat . 17:25-26 ] ) , politely metaphorical (elect being sons of Abraham [Luke 19:09 ] God ) to colloquially metaphorical ( believers as children of God [Matt. 7:09 and Hebrews 12:05 ] ) spiritually metaphorical (students, as children of the Pharisees [Matt. 24:27 , Acts 23:6 ]) to biologically metaphorical (as in John 19:26 , where Jesus describes his favorite disciple of Mary as " his son" ) , to the metaphorical blinding as " sons of the kingdom " (Matthew 8:12 ) , " men of peace " (Luke 10:06 ) , " children of light " (Luke 16:08 ) , and everything from " children of this world " (Luke 16: 08) to the "sons of thunder" (Mark 3:17 ) . It is as if this misunderstood "child " word is waving a big sign on Everything is painted in bold:

METAPHOR ! However, as Stanton eloquently , "Most scholars agree that Aramaic or Hebrew behind 'his' is ' used .' So what the Spirit descends on Jesus at his baptism, Jesus is addressed by the voice from heaven in terms of Isaiah 42:1 : "Behold, my Chosen for ... my ... I have put my spirit upon him . ' So Altho Mark 1:11 and 9:07 say that Jesus is called by God for a special messianic task, the emphasis is on Jesus ' role as the anointed servant , rather than as the Son of God. " [Stanton, Graham N. p. 225]
