( It) is a challenge due to the way the translators challenged from the beginning until today . 27 translations I consulted below illustrate the problem ... Almost without exception , simply transcribed. Abba But not a word in English or Latin, German , French or Spanish , and no player in most cases , unless becomes a Semitist could do more than make a rough estimate of what it means . When we turn to the Quran , which says that God , or son , or God is a father. Many Christians when they hear of me , they think we have no relationship with God that Christians refer to God in human terms of father and son. They see Christians as having a "personal" relationship with Jesus and the Father , but " Allah " appears to be a remote control for them. God
The relationship of Muslims with God is expressed in Rabb , or more correctly ar - Rabb , one of the most oft-repeated names of God in the Quran , the Muslim scripture . This is the most common name invokes God by the prophets and the prayer of mercy. The name is clear in its meaning and beautifully captures the deep relationship with God .

In the Qur'an , Rabb word when applied to God means [Shar 'IL - Allahi Ta'ala Asma al - Husna by Dr. Hassa al- Saghir , p . 123-125 ] :
1) Rabb is the Master that has no equal , a Master completely surrounding their creation with their gifts . [cf . Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Tafsir Ibn Jarir]
2) Rabb is to promote the creation , but that is not his father. Rabb feeds his people , taking them from one stage of life to another , showering his blessings , and continued throughout his life. Rabb provides its creation with their livelihoods as he alone controls the treasures of the heavens and the earth.
3) Rabb feeds the heart , the soul and character of his family [Taysir al- Karim al- Rahman , vol5 , p . 485] The prayers of the prophets and the pious in the Koran that calls on the name Rabb made it clear the meaning .
Abraham's prayer: "O my Rabb , grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous ( I join their ranks ) . " ( Quran 26:83 )
Pio Prayer : "O my Rabb , forgive ( sins ) and mercy (to us) No doubt , you are the best of those who show mercy " ( Quran 23:118 ) ..
Please Adam and Eve : " O our Rabb , it hurts , and if you are not going to forgive we shall certainly be of the losers " ( Qur'an 7:23 ) . God
Please Noah : "O my Rabb , my parents and I forgive you. " ( Quran 71:28 )
Finally , the word ar - Rabb is repeated in the Qur'an as the Rabb of " all worlds " , "all" , "Moses and Aaron " , "the great throne " , " heaven and earth " and " East and West.
